• Gradual migration The migration can be started while the system being migrated from is still in use. Any changes in the docbase are queued and taken along in the migration. This allows for gradual migrations and even exploratory migrations.
• Transparency of the process MirrorNG can run in three phases: an export, a transformation, and an import phase. The intermediate storages can be browsed just like a docbase system, allowing you to inspect the process and adapt when necessary. Basically, MirrorNG aims to include the users of the docbase system in the migration process without the need for them to have a deep technological knowledge.
• Early corrections The three phases of an export can be rerun at any time to do an incremental update. This allows corrections to problems discovered in a later phase without the need to completely redo all prior phases. Also, the phases do not need to run to completion before starting the next phase, handing you additional means to detect problems early on.
• Our expertise We have long-time expertise in setting up and administrating EMC Documentum docbases. This expertise is an invaluable asset if you want to get the setup and migration to a new docbase system just right. Recently we also added Sharepoint and CMIS as a supported platform to our repertoire.
• Extensible and easy to maintain MirrorNG is built in the Ruby programming language. Ruby is an extraordinarily expressive programming language that tends to make for elegant, flexible and extensible systems. We are confident that we can easily extend MirrorNG to fit your needs.
