Cloudring can search all your apps

Today we released a big update for Cloudring with a lot of cool features :

New BOX.net, Documentum, Alfresco and Nuxeo support

From the first release we have resolved transfer bugs on GoogleDocs, Evernote, Dropbox and SharePoint.
Support for BOX.net is added to Cloudring.

We have tested this release of Cloudring with the following CMIS apps :
  • Documentum
  • Nuxeo
  • Alfresco.
    • New user interface : file browser

Our new dual pane file system like browser gives you control over your content. ( inspired by the Norton commander style).
You can create new folders, download files or create links that you can send or post to external users. This is the interface that allows you to transfer files, folders or everything from the app to another app.
Synchronization is activated from this interface as well.(only for Evernote users)

      Search all your apps

Find documents in all your connected applications via a personalized federated full text search engine. This allows you to search not only on the name but also on the content of your documents.
So whether your documents are in Evernote, Dropbox, GoogleDocs, Box.net, SharePoint, Documentum, Alfresco or Nuxeo, you can search them from a single interface. In the current implementation the indexing is not yet fully automated, you 'll need to manually select your (important) documents and add them to the search engine. In the near future automatic indexing of your apps will be possible.

      Virtual apps : saved searches

When you save your search queries, they become available as a filter in the dual pane filebrowser.
As you can see in the screenshot, this effectively creates a "virtual app" within Cloudring containing all documents matching your query. This gives you control over the search results and topics from all your different applications. So you can transfer them to a consolidated location.
