Documentum Helicopter View Training
XAOP organizes the first Documentum ‘helicopter view’ training on Thursday 28 October 2010.
We have identified the following 5 learning domains for you from understanding the fundamental concepts behind any Documentum project to creating full-featured, easy-to-maintain applications using Documentum.
Each domain contains a narrative recounting how XAOP solved a particular problem or met the needs of a particular client and, in the telling, we will cover all the aspects of the design options and choices.
1. Documentum Architecture Introduction
We cover the content server, different filestores, client configurations, caching, deployment, method server, full text search. We start this training topic with the setup of a normal content server and present multiple applications and functions built on top of the fundamental core.
2. Understanding Object Relational Data Model Design and Analysis on Documentum
We discuss a series of patterns and design choices and provide the concrete benefits of those design choices. We explain how to implement change in your data model and how to build an incremental controlled approach.
3. Designing and understanding a Documentum security model
Learning objectives : Authentication models, Users, Groups. We provide comparisons that illustrate the differences between several security models. If you are interested you can bring your own (current) security design to compare your company and other companies.
4. Troubleshooting Documentum
Learning objectives : Log files analysis, interpreting, monitoring. This objective is organized around issues and the actions you need to take to address them.
5. Integration processes on Documentum
Learning objectives : We present arguments against integrations and then rebut them by pointing out the fallacies that underlie them.
