Ruby and Rails devroom FOSDEM 2008
Posted by Peter Vanbroekhoven on Feb 28, 2008
Last Sunday, the Belgian Ruby User Group (of which XaoP is a proud member) organized the first Ruby and Rails devroom at FOSDEM. We had four presentations, all interesting, and we had a great turnout. We actually had people turning back because there was really no more room where they could sit or stand. If the fates allow it, we'll be back next year with a bigger room, a more extensive program, and lots of Ruby goodness.
For those who have missed this grand events, the presentations have been gathered on SlideShare and are linked to from this page. Enjoy!
Using the best
technology: Ruby
Ruby is our preferred technology for the development of our products.
And for good reason:
"Ruby is a dynamic, open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and easy to write."
By exploiting the unique characteristics of Ruby we guarantee to deliver high quality, innovative software products with a reduced development time.
The speed and flexibility demonstrated by XAOP using Ruby, undoubtedly made a substantial contribution to the success of the project.
Using the XAOP analyzer tool allowed us to meet our tight deadlines and significantly eased our system deployment.
