Software requirements

Please follow the instructions as described in the EMC Developer Network article.

Installing a particular gem is just a matter of running: 


  gem install filename.gem

DCTMRuby

ActiveDCTM uses the dctmruby gem to connect via DMCL to Documentum.

DctmRuby is opensource and can the source code can be found on rubyforge.

We offer ActiveDCTM for free usage.

Please read THE ACTIVEDCTM LICENSE AGREEMENT carefully. By downloading or installing the gem, you agree to be bound to this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download or install the software.

Before using ActiveDCTM : make sure that the DMCL (so or dll) are in the path(LD_LIBRARY_PATH).

XAOP can't distribute this Documentum client library, it comes with your EMC Documentum software.
